Foundation Purpose
The goal of the Michael Thompson Memorial Foundation is to raise education funds to support the children of families that are experiencing difficult circumstances similar to those Michael and his family endured. The vision is that families with young children that have endured a tragedy affecting a parent would have their future education supported and be touched by the generosity of others in honor of Michael.
Event Details
This year’s tournament will be held at the Chardonnay Golf Club in American Canyon, CA. Golfers will receive a lunch, goodie bag, golf cart, admittance to the reception, and buffet dinner. While golfing, try your luck at winning a new car or $10,000 at one of our hole-in-one contests! At dinner, there will be a silent auction and a raffle with a wide range of prizes to give away.

2023 Scholarship Recipient
The Silva Family
In March of 2021, at the age of 36, John Silva passed away due to a complication during his fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. John had two children, Abigail (6) and Grant (3) who were the light of John’s life. John had a very fulfilling 16-year career working for multiple local government Building Divisions in the bay area. Outside of his family, his passion was helping people in the community with their construction needs. He was such a people person, making friends and connections everywhere he went, and in the process touched many people’s lives.
